Riigikogus loodi turismi ja kohaliku toidu toetusgrupp

Riigikogu Reformierakonna fraktsiooni liikme Imre Sooääre eestvedamisel moodustasid 33 parlamendisaadikut Eesti turismi ja kohaliku toidu toetusrühma. Saadikuterühma esimees on Imre Sooäär ning aseesimehed Kadri Simson, Aivar Sõerd ja Ivari Padar.
„Mul on siiralt hea meel, et ka uues riigikogu koosseisus tunnevad nii paljud saadikud kohaliku eestimaise toidu ja turismiteenuste arengu pärast muret. Omavahel tihedalt seotud toidu- ja turismisektor on Eesti maapiirkondade oluliseks arengumootoriks,“ kommenteeris toetusrühma loomist selle esimees Imre Sooäär.
Ühenduse liikmeteks astusid ka kolm endist põllumajandusministrit, Ivari Padar, Jaanus Marrandi ning Helir-Valdor Seeder, kes kõik on Eesti toidu ja maapiirkondade arengu teemadega ministriametis aktiivselt tegelenud.
Saadikurühma eesmärgiks on sildade loomine kodaniku- ja ettevõtjate ühenduste ning riiklike programmide vahel, tehes tihedat koostööd EAS-i ja maaeluministeeriumiga.
„Aidates kaasa kodumaiste toodete levikule nii Eestis kui väljaspool, aitame ühtlasi kaasa majanduskasvule maapiirkondades. Veelgi enam: rahvusköök, kohalikud tooted ning turismiteenused annavad Eestimaa erinevatele piirkondadele oma näo ja isikupära, mis on just see, mida turistid Eestist otsivad,“ lausus Sooäär.
Reformierakondlasest riigikogu liikme sõnul ootavad ühendust ees mitmed väljakutsed. „Kindlasti tuleb leida mõistlik kompromisslahendus majutussektoris, kus uus valitsus on rääkinud käibemaksu võimalikust tõusust. Sellel võib olla tugev mõju turismisektori konkurentsivõimele ja töökohtadele just maapiirkondades, kus äri on sageli hooajaline ning töökohtade hulk niigi napp,“ selgitas Sooäär.
Samuti vajavad toetusrühma esimehe sõnul täiendavat monitooringut nii maaeluministeeriumis algatatud uus Eesti toidu arengukava, riikliku turismi arengukava kui maaelu arengukava elluviimine.
Nagu eelmises koosseisus, on ka praeguses riigikogu koosseisus loodud saadikuühendus üks arvukamaid, koondades kolmandiku kogu parlamendi liikmetest erinevatest erakondadest ja kuus endist ministrit.
Turismi ja kohaliku toidu toetusgrupiga liitusid 33 riigikogu liiget: Yoko Alender, Ivi Eenmaa, Igor Gräzin, Jüri Jaanson, Liina Kersna, Johannes Kert, Toomas Kivimägi, Aivar Kokk, Siret Kotka, Eerik-Niiles Kross, Kristjan Kõljalg, Jaanus Marrandi, Andres Metsoja, Meelis Mälberg, Ivari Padar, Kalle Palling, Heljo Pikhof, Heidy Purga, Laine Randjärv, Valdo Randpere, Martin Repinski, Mailis Reps, Vilja Savisaar, Helir-Valdor Seeder, Andre Sepp, Kadri Simson, Imre Sooäär, Aivar Sõerd, Tanel Talve, Artur Talvik, Terje Trei, Anne Sulling ja Maire Aunaste.
