Uuring hõlmas aastaid 2003-2005 ning IBM oli kogu selle perioodi jooksul tarkvaralitsentside käibe poolest esikohal. According to the independent report, IBM achieved first place in software license revenue in the overall worldwide performance and availability management software market in 2005. IBM was also the 2005 revenue leader in two related categories outlined in the report: worldwide performance management software and worldwide event automation software. The study examines the performance and availability management software market from 2003-2005 – a period in which IBM led the market in all three categories outlined by IDC. “The ability to monitor and manage system performance is an integral part of our IT service management approach,” said Al Zollar, general manager, IBM Tivoli software. “Our continued leadership in this market speaks to our intense focus on helping our customers meet such needs.” IBM’s portfolio of IT service management software automates some of the most challenging processes associated with managing a complex IT environment – such as managing storage devices, addressing IT failures, and deploying new software releases and patches. The software helps customers fight rising IT costs and manage constant change brought on by security threats and the demand to stay competitive in the marketplace.
